Did you know that April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month? To kick-start the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month I decided to do a review on this wonderful cruelty-free and vegan product.

Are Hempz cruelty free?

Hempz Beauty is a division of the JK Health and Beauty Technologies Group PLC. Hempz Beauty are a natural beauty company that make products with 100% organic Hemp Seed Oil. All products are Paraben Free, Gluten Free, THC Drug Free and are not tested on animals.

Hempz Original Herbal Body Moisturiser 🌿

The Hempz Original Herbal Body Moisturiser is made with 100% Organic Hemp Seed Oil providing the skin with a perfect ration of protein, carbohydrates, nutrients, key minerals and fiber. The moisteriser is rich in natural anti-oxidants, anti-ageing properties and anti-inflammatories from extracts of Lemon, Ginger root, Ginseng and Grapefruit.

There is also a blend of Shea Butter and Sunflower Seed Oil for skin hydration, nourishment and conditioning. It’s also made with a fresh breezy floral and sweet banana fragrance – and it’s 100% vegan! The moisteriser is available to buy online at Amazon for £19.99 for 500 ml; the bottle shown in the picture is of the sample that I received from Alex Silver PR.

Review

At first, I could smell the sweet banana blend in the moisturiser, I couldn’t really smell the natural hemp oil, but can definitely feel the nourishing effects of it skin. The moisturiser is lightweight and easy to blend in to my skin, it generally keeps my hands, body and legs smooth and soft. I’ve also been using this as a face cream and I am loving how smooth, yet kind of firm, my skin is after using the cream. One thing that I do appreciate about this moisturiser is that it keeps my skin soft and firm throughout the day without needing to reapply it.

Thank you to Alex Silver PR for sending me this lovely product to review, you can click here to buy the Hempz Original Herbal Body Moisturiser from Amazon.

I’ve got another Hempz product review coming out next week, so make sure you’re following my blog to keep up.

  1. Oh my god, I love anything and everything with the banana scent so this would be right up my street – I may have to take a little look at this in more detail..

  2. I had no idea April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month! Hempz is one of my personal favorite moisturizer creams. They smell great, they leave my hands feeling so smooth, and now I know they’re cruelty-free, which is even better! Excellent post.

    1. This is my first time using Hempz, and I’m generally quite impressed with the quality of it. I’m glad you enjoyed my review Bianca, thank you for the love! ☺ xx

  3. How heavy is his moisturiser? One of my biggest pet peeves with body moisturisers are when the are too heavy and it feels like your clothes are sticking to you?

    1. Hey Ellyn, this moisteriser is generally quite lightweight for a body moisteriser. Ah I know what you mean, I try to avoid the heavy moisterisers too, but this one felt great on my skin, it blended into my skin quite quickly and my skin didn’t dry up either. Hope this helps 🙂 xx

    1. It definitely was ☺ I didn’t really need to reapply the moisteriser either, so it’s good to use if you’re always on the go xx

    1. So had I, it really is a great brand. The quality of their products are brilliant, I’ve tried out the shower gel from this range and I’m so impressed with how well it works for my skin. xx

    1. They’ve got quite a few different ranges to choose from, depending on what scents you like and what works for your skin. The Original range is their basic one, and I was generally quite impressed with that myself. 🙂 xx

    1. It really is! I’m sure you’ll like it Carly, they have different ranges to choose from and they’re all made with organic hemp seed oil 🙂 xx
