Hey guys, how are you all doing?

Did you know that over the past year, 74% of people have at some point felt so stressed that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope (Mental Health Foundation). Lately, I’ve fallen into the habit of completely stressing out, panicking and feeling burnt out in the past 4-5 months and while I’ve bounced back, all of that stress has been its toll on my physical health. Strangely enough, this week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the main topic that they discuss is stress.

I get irregular periods due to stress and at times I get bloated and sensitive to many foods that it’s not only effected my confidence but my routine too. Generally, I drink green tea to help with the bloating but I felt that it wasn’t working as well as it normally would due to the problems that I face with my periods. I’ve spent more time working on self-care, i.e making sure that I’m spending more time focussing on my health and making time to relax. During this time, I got an email about this wonderful brand that makes teas specifically for womens health, so of course I had to try this out and write a review for you all.

A little about Femna…

Femna was founded by Maxie and Emily, two young and committed social entrepreneurs based in Berlin, Germany that share a passion for women’s well-being. They believe that ailments like menstrual cramps, PMS, cycle fluctuations and menopause discomfort need not be tackled with popping pills all the time. The range of natural alternatives is huge and effective, giving women the opportunity to feel good, naturally.

Femna offer the best natural products possible to make women’s lives easier by helping women maintain a healthy lifestyle, and education around various stages of life.

Femna Relax Tea ☕✨

Lavender can help you unwind so the world won’t look so overwhelming. Nature’s passion flower is made of perfect concentric circles which radiate calmness and peace. Lemon balm and tansy help you to let go of unwanted stress and Chamomile comforts your organs from all the negative energy that might surround you.

The Relax Tea is priced at 11.90 for 50g, which roughly makes 25-30 cups of tea. This tea is not recommended for women during pregnacy and lactation.

How to make

Drink as a regime for a few weeks with 2-3 cups a day and use 2 teaspoon per 200ml boiling water, cover (so you don’t lose the essential oils) leave to brew for 8-12 minutes.

Review

Let me get straight to the point – it was love at first sip! The aroma of the tea itself is soothing, you can smell the blend of the lavender and passion flower. As the relax tea is a loose tea, the smells and taste are more prominent than your normal cuppa.

I’ve never drank anything with passion flower or rose before and I am not complaining, it really adds a gentle touch to the tea. You can taste the chamomile in there, but personally I think that I could feel the calming effects of the chamomile more than you can taste it.

So far so good, I generally feel less bloated in the past few week that I’ve tried the tea and overall my body feels relaxed. As a result of my body feeling more relaxed, I don’t panic as much as I have done in the past, I definitely feel that this tea has been working on helping me to relax. This feels like a natural, more cleaner way of dealing with everything without worrying about any extreme negative side effects. Of course not every girl and woman experiences the same symptoms or problems which is why Femna have a whole range of teas designed to suit you at whatever stage you’re at in life.

Femna itself is amazing, I’m always for supporting a brand that helps women talk openly about their health without feeling any kind of stigma which is why I’ve tried my best to be as open about my personal health with you all. Thank you to the lovely ladies at Femna for sending me this brilliant tea.

    1. I think managing everything can be stressful, especially when you’re doing everything by yourself, it’s probably the one thing that annoys me a little about blogging. But you definitely need to take out time for yourself and do things that you enjoy to relax and chill. xxx
