Hey everyone, I hope you are all well! I’ve been keeping up my Christmas spirit! 😄🎄❄️☃️
Lately I’ve been feeling quite poorly, from having my wisdom teeth come through, to having an ear infection in both ears, I’ve been feeling pretty down despite all the preparations for the holidays. Thankfully, I am on the mend and I have been trying to keep up with all the preparations but my blog obviously suffered in the process and I haven’t been able to get all that I want to do so far. As someone who loves Christmas it can put a damper on everything when you’re not able to do much, with all the stress and tension that people have during this time of the year I thought I’d share how I’ve been staying positive during this time.
How I’ve been keeping up my Christmas spirit
1. Decorating! I’ve always found this part to be so fun, especially if you’re with your family, and if you haven’t done so already then it’s worth doing it!
2. Making your favourite festive treats – it doesn’t have to be all Christmas related, but there’s no reason why you shouldn’t treat yourself and take out time to learn it.
3. Reading your favourite stories and watching your favourite films – Just yesterday I did a whole movie marathon on the Nativity series, mainly because I wish that I had a teaching assistant like Mr. Poppy 😁
4. Count your blessings and focus on what you’re grateful for! Christmas usually gets overshadowed by the material aspects of gift giving. Even if you’re not particularly religious or spiritual, I do think that this is a particularly positive and practical way to end the year. I’ve spent more time focussing on this aspect that I genuinely don’t know what I wanted for Christmas myself.
